With the performance and the artistic research, Alexandre Achour and his collaborators examine different performances throughout the 20th century, which used participatory means to transform the role, position or experience of the spectator and which were critical towards their social and cultural contexts.

In his work he invents affective situations and choreographic procedures that reflect upon this process and he uses choreography as a medium for reimagining it anew. He collaborates with Tino Seghal, Xavier Le Roy and Saša Asentic. Currently he is developing an artistic research between dance communities in Germany and China.
