The body never lies. But everything around it can be an illusion. So how can we describe what is happening and what will happen? The only thing that helps is fiction, the cheerful sister of lies. This issue of DWQ deals with the boundary between reality and fiction, truth and deception, desire and reality, and together we invent a narrative that opens up new approaches to our work with the body, space, and time.

Matthias Quabbe
In his work as a dramaturg (with Reut Shemesh, Rykena/Jüngst, Alexandra Waierstall, among others), Matthias Quabbe combines conceptual project development, production dramaturgy, and fundamental considerations of dramaturgical practice. He has developed a penchant for pushing factual contexts to their fictional limits.
