SOMATIC PRACTICE AND CONTEMPORARY DANCE
This course deals with ways of consciously and mindfully moving the body: in ways that are functional and make anatomical sense, are concrete and artistically diverse. Via movement experiments, we will explore the ways in which thinking, feeling, movement language and dance correlate. The class will help advance self-awareness and skills of observation, as well as intent and knowledge of the body, which all play an important role in contemporary dance.
