CONTEMPORARY DANCE MEETS URBAN SKETCHING
Movement meets drawing! This interplay is the theme of the class, which will take place in collaboration and artistic exchange with urban sketcher Jenny Adam and the class 'Urban Sketching meets Contemporary Dance' at K3. Both groups mix and inspire each other: the focus is on the interaction between movement and drawing. How can colours be translated into dance? How does the body create lines and shapes in space? How does music inspire movement? What composition emerges from the rhythm and dynamics of a drawing? During the dance, the participants are drawn by the other class and the drawings become the inspiration for further dance experiences. The fleetingness of movement appears on the paper and becomes the impulse for new choreographies.
