This season Patricia Carolin Mai again invites Hamburg residents from all generations to work with her on a large-scale dance and music piece:

Together with 100 people, Patricia Carolin Mai investigated the conditions, causes and extent of intoxication:
Is intoxication a myth, an illusion, the faint hope of being pulled into unknown orbits? What worlds are at stake?

K3 provides a regular rehearsal space for the 20 dancers for 9 months as part of the conceptual support with Patricia C. Mai.

The premiere of Rausch. Eine Revision (AT) takes place on 22 June.

Patricia Carolin Mai

Patricia Carolin Mai is a dancer, choreographer and artistic director of MAI:COMPANY. She studied dance at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp and performance studies at the University of Hamburg. Since 2015, she has been producing dance pieces at Kampnagel and K3 | Tanzplan Hamburg, which have been performed internationally in countries including Belgium, France, Italy, Israel and Korea. Her artistic work in intergenerational and participatory contexts explores movement as a somatic and empowering practice and examines bodies in extreme states. Since 2019, she has been conducting research on soft skills in dance education as part of the EU project ‘Empowering Dance’ and works as a lecturer and mentor both in Germany and abroad. In 2025, she founded MAI:COMPANY – Hamburg’s first cross-generational dance company. From 2026 to 2028, she is deepening her work on community, participation and physical diversity with MAI:COMPANY as part of the City-State-Federal project ‘An Artistic Practice of Expansion’.
