[K]OME TOGETHER 5th edition

Are you passionate about moving and dance?
Do you want to physically experience dance and not just watch it?
Then this is the right place for you!
This inclusive dance class is for people of all ages and invites you to dance.  You don't need any previous experience to join in. [K]ome together means moving together and experiencing your own body in dance.

The recording of the community dance class took place in K4 and was accompanied by musicians of the composer Samuel Penderbayne. Whether sitting or standing, slow or fast, with the whole body or individual body parts - the focus is on the individuality of each body.

Patricia Carolin Mai

Patricia Carolin Mai is a dancer, choreographer and artistic director of MAI:COMPANY. She studied dance at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp and performance studies at the University of Hamburg. Since 2015, she has been producing dance pieces at Kampnagel and K3 | Tanzplan Hamburg, which have been performed internationally in countries including Belgium, France, Italy, Israel and Korea. Her artistic work in intergenerational and participatory contexts explores movement as a somatic and empowering practice and examines bodies in extreme states. Since 2019, she has been conducting research on soft skills in dance education as part of the EU project ‘Empowering Dance’ and works as a lecturer and mentor both in Germany and abroad. In 2025, she founded MAI:COMPANY – Hamburg’s first cross-generational dance company. From 2026 to 2028, she is deepening her work on community, participation and physical diversity with MAI:COMPANY as part of the City-State-Federal project ‘An Artistic Practice of Expansion’.
