THE REST OF DANCE

Bodies entering in close proximity, creating intimacy, making agreements, leaving, dealing with expectations, hopes, risking losing more. The rest of dance is a dance about rests: a bodily rest, a leftover that is always present in our bodies, an excess as a reserve of things to come. Focusing on the wake of the encounter between bodies, the artists move through a choreography of disruptive temporalities and relentless displacements, in an attempt to come in contact with the invisible, the violent and the persistent that inhabits the residual.

(Duo) Ana Laura Lozza & Bárbara Hang

are choreographers and performance artists. In their artistic practice they work in the fields of dance, choreography, dance education, dramaturgy and, more recently, writing. Ana Laura is a graduate of the MA Performance Studies in Hamburg, Bárbara completed the MA in Performing Arts and Visual Culture at UCLM/Reina Sofía in Madrid.
