Moritz Frischkorn
TRANSFORMATIONS
Images of gender and gender roles are key to negotiating personal goals and social standing, especially in puberty. What images of femininity and masculinity are there, and how are they conveyed in the media? Where are grey areas and taboos? This teacher workshop offers insights into Moritz Frischkorn's research process for his new production Transformations, which will tour classrooms from spring 2020 onwards. The choreographic rehearsal process creates a protective space in which it is possible to play with one's own gender identity. In the workshop, teachers will learn linguistic and physical exercises from the fields of performance and dance and then develop them further together. A special focus will lie on a (self-)critique of stereotypical masculinity.
For teachers and (dance-) pedagogues
A certificate of attendance (training confirmation) is issued at the end of the event.
