DANCE WITH SCHOOLS
As part of the explore dance project, the round table Dance with Schools offers interested teachers and dance pedagogues a chance to discuss various aspects of working in the field of dance for young audiences on a regular basis. The goal of the 90-minute discussion and exchange format is to discover contemporary dance and sustainably embed it in school curriculum. Aside from focusing on various alternating specific themes, the round table also features exclusive visits to rehearsals and talks with artists.
This edition’s guest is Hamburg choreographer Moritz Frischkorn, who will develop his pop-up piece Transformations this spring for touring through classrooms. Based on interviews with teenagers from various schools in Hamburg, he seeks to explore the boundaries and transitions between genders. He has prepared a number of questions and would like to speak about the subjects of feminism and gender roles.
