The process of working with the body is necessary to the integrity of stage action. This 4-day workshop aims to formulate a unique personal body approach for working on individual creations. Participants will learn how to find movement charm and build character through activities involving body language, relationships with space, and interactions with partners. The workshop will guide participants in discovering their creative nature and exploring the freedom of spontaneous thinking. It will also provide insights into how to continue and develop movement rather than altering it. Additionally, participants will understand how intentions, breathing, and eye focus influence stage practice.

Ivan Estegneev

Ivan Estegneev is co-founder and artistic director of the Dialogue Dance Company in Kostroma with his partner Evgeny Kulagin since 2002. The company has become an important centre for contemporary dance in Russia. He teaches stage movement and cinema dance for the acting faculty of the Moscow Film School from 2015 to 2022. Estegneev is co-founder and CEO of the physical theatre and performance laboratory DialogLab in Moscow since 2018, and curator of the Context Festival since 2022.
