This training explores  new codes of movement through emotion and memories. The warm-up revolves around spiral movements to open energy pathways, stimulate the lymphatic and nervous system, and increase the range of motion and functional strength. Then, extended dance sequences emphasize three-dimensional movement to work on energy, speed, musicality as well as spatial and group awareness. A focus of the class is for each individual participant to identify one’s own  abilities and limitations  and to integrate them into their dancing practice.

Sonia Rodríguez

is a dancer, teacher and choreographer. She performed with Charleroi-Danses, Rui Horta Stage Works, Lanónima Imperial, Cia Cobos Mika and Cie Yann Lheureux amongst others. She founded the Cía. Sonia Rodríguez in 2002. Her choreographic work has been shown in America, Asia, and Europe.
