Mahler-Camp: music, choreography, video for Youth

During the fall holidays, Elbphilharmonie Konzerte, the Philharmoniker Hamburg and K3 | Tanzplan Hamburg will present a one-week camp that emphasizes a creative and interdisciplinary discussion between music, dance and video art. The basis of the common artistic work will be Gustav Mahler’s second symphony.

In cooperation with the artists Anna Henckel-Donnersmarck (video), Friederike Lampert (choreography / manager of the K3-Jugendklub or K3 Youth Club), Annika Schmitz and musicians from the Philharmoniker Hamburg (music), the participating teenagers as well as the K3-Jugendklub will work on Mahler’s Resurrection Symphony and the important life questions that it poses about faith, love, death, home and hope. The results of the Mahler Camp will be presented on 25 October as a pre-concert in the Laeiszhalle’s small performance hall.

Registration deadline: 20 September (15 years and above, no previous knowledge necessary)
